Where were you at 5:15pm tonight? Let me tell you where I was. Doing a little toe-tapping, shoulder swaying dance as best I could while seat-belted in my car. I had a great last day at work. I gave the girl taking my place some last minute info and spent more of the day giving her advice on parts of the job, how to handle some of the personalities. It is so hard to want her to form her own opinions but I also couldn't leave her to the vultures that will prey on her naivety and soft spirit. I really took the mother hen roll...didn't see that coming this morning but when it presented it to myself I couldn't just walk away. I would have been grateful six months ago when I started to have been given all the tools needed to get thru the day...some of which were not skills for the job but rather skills to literally and mentally jive with co-workers. Corporate America is an interesting place...it is a great place if you are prepared. I brought a lot of life and other job experience to my Corporate America experience...for that I am grateful. I also was a little naive...for about twenty seconds. I just wanted to give this girl, twenty, a jump start on the claws. It was my experience that as long as I knew they were there and produced great work, there was no place to sink those claws. Anyway, that was a ramble.
Now I get to be a full time Mommy...whew, thank goodness. I am so excited. While accounting served our family for a time, this is truly where my heart feels a peace.
sooooooooo glad you're getting to stay home. i know Ms.Sally is glad, too! :)

YYYYYAAAAAYYYY!! Free at last free at last thank God-almighty Sally's Mom is free at last.
Sadly, at 5:15 I was thinking about shutting down the computer and escaping. That's pretty much what I am always thinking about when I am there. Ah, someday!
